We're getting ready to re-open!
Who we are and what we do
The Friends of Mount Edgcumbe Country Park (FOMECP) is a registered charity (no. 295261) consisting of like-minded people who love the Park and wish to see it preserved and improved for the enjoyment of all. The charity was created in 1985 to support the maintenance of the 865 acre country park.
The charity works to raise funds to purchase items that will benefit the general public, and which the Park's management cannot afford to buy. To this end the Friends work in conjunction with Park management to encourage the Park’s use and development. A key activity of the Friends is to raise funds for special projects and over the years the Friends have donated well over £300,000 to support and maintain the House and Park.
We run regular fund-raising events (see below) which are open to non-members as well as members, and we also attend other events where we are invited to showcase the Friends (see below).
We can also be found at Lambert Lodge - just through the archway next to the Orangery. Come in and see us if you are passing, and maybe even treat yourself to a second hand book!

COME AND SAY HELLO
You can find the Friends in Lambert Lodge, just through the archway near the Orangery. We run an information centre and second hand book shop there.
We will be open weekends only in August. Timings will depend on volunteer availability so please drop by and check if we are open.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to accept book donations at present.
