Privacy Policy

The Friends of Mount Edgcumbe Country Park (FOMECP) take your privacy very seriously, and abide by the terms of the General Data Protection Regulations 2018 (GDPR).

Member data

Where you provide your personal data to us for the purposes of setting up or renewing your membership, or corresponding with you in relation to your membership, that data is held securely by our Membership Secretary, who acts as our Data Controller.

​

We store:

- your name (and family members' names where applicable)

- your address

- your phone number

- your email address

- your indicator as to whether you want to receive journals electronically or by mail

​

When setting up your standing order, we hold bank details; these are deleted after your first standing order has been successfully paid.

​

For the purposes of gift aid claims, where you have registered for gift aid, we hold your initials, surname and postcode; these are deleted when your membership is cancelled.

Use of member data

​

We use your name and address for the purposes of posting your journal to you. We use your email address if you have requested an email journal. 

​

We use your name, address and/or email address to contact you with any correspondence related to your membership, such as issues with your standing order. 

​

We use your name, email address and phone number if you have volunteered to help at Lambert Lodge, or at any of our events, so that we can make arrangements with you.

​

We use your name, email address, phone number and address if you have signed up to take part in any of our events and need to be sent ticketing and logistics information.

​

We pass names, postcodes and membership numbers to Mount Edgcumbe House and the retailers in Mount Edgcumbe Country Park so that if you have forgotten your membership card, you can still be awarded the discounts to which you are entitled.

If you contact FOMECP through the website or directly through email, we will hold your information for the purposes of replying to you. Email correspondence is retained for 1 year (longer if for statutory reasons) before being deleted.

Non-member data

​

We use your name, email address and phone number if you have volunteered to help at Lambert Lodge, or at any of our events, so that we can make arrangements with you.

​

If you, as a non-member, contact FOMECP through the website or directly through email, we will hold your information for the purposes of replying to you. Email correspondence is retained for 1 year (longer if for statutory reasons) before being deleted.

We will use your name, email address, phone number and address if you have signed up to take part in any of our events and need to be sent ticketing and logistics information.
